Using neonicotinoids and the effect it has on bees
Neonicotinoids are used in the farming industry to protect crops from pests. They are systemic pesticides and as such can be absorbed into every part of the plant. When bees land on a plant and feeds on the nectar or pollen it means that they eat the pesticide and it can damage the bee affecting its ability to forage, reproduce and navigate. This can have a huge impact on bee populations.
