Managing pasture for feed
Pasture is land that is set aside for grazing animals and usually contains a mix of grasses and legumes. Good management of pastures can be very important as it will ensure good growth for grasses and legume. Pasture rotation is also important as it will help good plant growth and create lush, nutritious and clean grazing. Good pasture management can improve manure runoff and soil erosion risks that can be associated with poor pasture land. It can include farmers, harrowing and rolling, topping, weed control and fertilising land in order to have good and productive pastures for their animals.
