Mushrooms don't have to be found they can be cultivated commercially as well. While wild mushrooms cope with the variants in weather farmed mushrooms are grown in a much more controlled environment. They depend on constant levels of temperatures and humidity being maintained in the sheds and they are grown in long aluminium racks filled with compost impregnated with mushroom spores. As the spores grow in size the temperature levels are readjusted in order to help reduce the levels of carbon dioxide to ensure different size mushrooms at the end of growing. It takes 21 days to get a mushroom from spore to punnet, when they are then picked by hand.
